250 GT LWB Berlinetta Scaglietti TdF, sn 0597GT, 1957 (BBR, limited 13/36)
Unusually finished in silver with a dark red interior, this 250 GT TdF was sold to an Italian gentleman racer named Eugenio Lubich. Under the Scuderia Trentino banner, he campaigned the car extensively throughout Italy for two seasons with several class and outright wins in local events as the best result. At the end of 1958, it was sold to his compatriot Antonino Todaro who raced the 250 GT with considerable success. Together with Gino Munaron, he managed to score a class win in the Buenos Aires 1000 km in January of 1960. Soon after, chassis 0597GT was retired from contemporary events and eventually ended up in England. During the early 2000s, it was meticulously restored to its original configuration of silver with a burgundy interior. Several years later, it was acquired by an American collector, who has had it restored once more and today it is finished in a deep red.
