This exceptional car was hand built and designed by David Levy. His inspiration was the post war practice of owners approaching major Italian design houses to make them a one off body on a Ferrari chassis. David's car is based on an early 1970s 96 inch wheelbase Ferrari chassis. It has Ferrari mechanicals including a 5 litre, 4 cam V12 engine, producing well over 400 BHP, a five speed gearbox, and fully independent suspension.The engine is almost entirely behind the front axle line, just like all the modern Ferrari V12 cars. The body takes styling cues from a number of the '60s Ferraris and the Intermeccanica Italia and is fabricated entirely in steel, apart from an aluminium bonnet. A great deal of the trim and hardware is hand made and the quality of fabrication throughout is of the highest quality, as anyone who knew David would expect from him. This very special motorcar was a project that took over 20 years to bring to fruition and for the last eight years of his life was all that consumed David while he fought the illness that finally took him in March 2012. This incredible piece of engineering and design is now available to a new owner looking for a bespoke Ferrari like no other.
